Our Story
In August 2001, Bishop Eric and Elect Lady Kenneisha Hutton obeyed the voice of the Lord and held the first Bridge of Destiny Worship Center church service at the Huntsville Hilton with four members and no budget. The power of God was so present during this service, that hotel guests on their way to other worship services overheard the joyful noise and changed their plans just to be a part of this service. Throughout the rest of the year and into 2002, the ministry continued to have services at the Von Braun Center, and various hotels in the city, determined to see the vision given by God carried out. Many services were small in attendance, yet powerful in impact as lives were being changed by the power of God.
In June of 2002, Bridge of Destiny moved to their first physical location at 201 Parkway Dr. While serving at this location, the church grew in number, faith, and power. There were many who made decisions for Christ and grew closer in their relationship with God. The church was also known for effectively engaging the community by feeding families, supplying clothing, food, gifts, school supplies, as well as events for the youth and families,. Bridge of Destiny remained at the Parkway Drive location for 17 years while believing God for a location that had space to accommodate the growing needs of the ministry. God honored the prayers of the church family, and on December 31, 2019, Bridge of Destiny held the grand opening service at their current location, 1313 Pulaski Pike, Huntsville, AL.
During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Bridge of Destiny officially launched the eChurch campus, expanding the membership to multiple states across the country. Also while in the pandemic, the church assisted in providing food boxes to over 1,000 families through a partnerships with multiple community outreach ministries. To date, Bridge of Destiny continues to serve with great joy and enthusiasm, and believes that even greater lies ahead for the ministry.
